Switzerland has approved Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine, NEWS.ru reports citing the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health.
Moderna is the second vaccine approved by Swissmedic, which is the Swiss supervisory authority for the drug market. On December 19, the country approved the vaccine produced by Pfizer and BioNTech.
Switzerland has already pre-ordered 7.5 million shots, 200,000 of which will be delivered by January 14.
France, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands have received the first deliveries of the coronavirus vaccine from the US biotech company Moderna, NEWS.ru reported earlier.
