The deal on EU-UK post-Brexit relations provides for the maintenance of a visa-free regime, as well as free trade and balanced access to markets and maritime resources, said European Commission’s Chief Negotiator Michel Barnier, TASS reports.
The agreement provides for free trade without quotas and tariffs, unrestricted access to each other’s territory, sea, and air space, and balanced access to marine resources, Barnier said.
The UK and the EU will provide their citizens with equal access to social systems. At the same time, Barnier expressed regret that the UK didn’t agree to create common positions on foreign and defense policy, supporting only synchronizing the sanctions regimes.
Besides, in some cases, London will be able to impose unilateral sanctions without Brussels’ consent.
NEWS.ru earlier reported that Russia didn’t influence the vote on Brexit, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said.
