A blast has been reported to occur in a mosque in the Spin Ghar district  of Nangarhar province, eastern of Afghanistan.


According to local residents 16 people were wounded and 3 were killed, including the imam.

The explosion hit a mosque at approximately 1:30 pm local time, the resident of the province Atal Shinwari said. Another individual initially claimed 15 people were wounded, three in life-changing conditions. The explosive allegedly located inside the building.

A Taliban* official, who preferred to stay anonymous, confirmed the blast and casualties were most likely to have been.

There is no responsibility for the alleged attack as of now.

At the beginning of October a massive blast in a mosque of Kunduz province in Afghanistan killed more than 30 people and injured more than a half hundred of believers.
