The current US President Donald Trump has delivered a farewell speech to the Americans.

This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous, Trump said.

Trump also noted that the US, under his presidency, strengthened alliances and mobilized countries to counter China.

The president said that political violence in the US, such as the attack on the Capitol in Washington, cannot be justified. However, he didn’t admit that he provoked people to do so. Trump believes that his words at the time were absolutely appropriate.

Besides, social media make a catastrophic mistake, they divide and sow discord, they demonstrate what Trump has predicted for a long time. He said that he has never seen so much negativity from IT companies as he does now.

Also, he warned Democrats against trying to impeach him, calling it ludicrous.

On Jan. 6, the US Congress was supposed to approve the presidential election results, declaring Joe Biden’s victory. However, crowds of Donald Trump supporters gathered outside the Capitol and broke into the congress building where the meeting was taking place.

Congress members were immediately evacuated, while clashes began on the building steps, with police using tear gas and stun grenades. Several people were detained, some were wounded.

The events in Washington and the incumbent US President Donald Trump’s refusal to admit defeat cause anger and sadness in German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the politician told reporters in Berlin, reported earlier.
