Uzbekistan has received samples of the Sputnik V vaccine, created in Russia to combat coronavirus.


Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov personally delivered samples of the vaccine to the capital, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade said.

The drug was received by the first deputy head of the Service of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health of the Republic, Kholmamat Norboyev.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade clarified that the samples would be used in trials necessary to register the vaccine and the launch of industrial production in Uzbekistan.

NEWS.ru reported earlier that the Sputnik V vaccine's production volume would soon reach two million doses, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade reported.
